 In the 18th Century Everton Village was set upon Everton Brow, a short distance from the prosperous port of Liverpool. With unsurpassed views across the River Mersey to the Welsh hills and over the city to the as yet unspoilt rolling countryside it was a highly desirable place to live.
 Since that time the area has been developed a number of times. The industrial revolution demanded housing for the influx of new people into Liverpool so densely packed rows of back to back houses were built and the village quickly became subsumed into the industrial conglomerate.
 With the arrival of the 1960's came demolition of terraced streets which had become such a landmark, visible as they were from the River, to be replaced by high rise blocks of flats, including the John F Kennedy Heights which stood on the site of our current Green Brow development. It took merely a decade or two to realise the disaster that was
'sixties built' high rise dwellings. The blocks were demolished and the land remained unused until a group of local residents, working with Liverpool Housing Trust and the City Council, had a vision for a green housing development providing new homes for the 21st Century that would be ecologically sustainable. In 2005 Aldbury was granted planning permission for the first phase of this new housing
development which, when all three phases are completed, will provide some 150 new homes. Aldbury's vision is to create a neighbourhood with homes that will excite and inspire: - Flexible and affordable homes which are ecologically responsive and achieve environmental sustainability.
- Homes designed to use less energy and water, reducing running costs for residents and helping to
reduce impact on the environment and global warming.
- Homes built to the highest standards; achieving the EcoHomes 'Excellent' Rating and becoming a major catalyst for change.
 We believe that Green Brow sets the vision for ecological standards in housing which in time all housing developments will have to follow.
